Jack Sands
Concordia Lutheran Coach Sands has coached 2 State 400 Champions, 20 athletes who have run under 48 either in the open or on a relay. He also coached the 2004 Bronze Medalist in the open 400 & gold medalist in the 4x4 at the Athens Olympic Games.

Coach Sands is starting his 49th year, 40 as a Head Coach. He is currently in his 4th year as an Asst. Coach at Concordia Lutheran in Tomball, Tx. Previously he was the Head Coach at North Shore (6 yrs), Klein Forest (30 yrs), Klein (4 yrs) and 5 yrs as an Asst. At Summer Creek. As a Head Coach his teams were State Runners up twice, Regional Champions 3 times, and 12 District Championships. As an Assistant he has been part of a State Championship, Regional Championship, and 3 District Titles.
He has been named Coach of the year 3 times by the Gulf Coast Scholastic Coaches Association and Assistant Coach of the year twice. He is a member of 3 Hall of Fames

2 Olympians, 13 Division 1 All Americans, 3 athletes who have won 4 National Scholastic High School Championships, 4 athletes who have represented the USA in international competitions, 13 State Champions, over 60 State Medalists, & 4 National leading relays.
At Klein Forest his 4x100 relay ran below 42.0 24 years in a row with an average of 41.4. His 4x400 relays have run 3:20 or better for 26 of the last 35 years. From 1995-2008 they averaged 3:15.78
